For decades, I entered the heart of the crisis and did not look away.
Today, I am doing something different.
I am no longer documenting the tragedy.
I am restoring the memory.
Hayti has been buried under a narrative of lack.
TOYA’s World is here to uncover the truth of our abundance.
The Ignored Ones
TOYA’s World honors those the archives tried to erase.
Long before 1492, the Black Caracols, the Agueho, the Guanini and other autochthonous Blacks, held this land. They are not footnotes. They are our foundation.
TOYA’s World is the drama that gives them the space they deserve, reclaiming the voices of the oldest people on Earth.
To restore these memories is to hear voices older than conquest, make visible a presence where silence was once enforced.
The Iridium Pulse
Colonialism wants you to see the mud.
TOYA’s World shows you the cosmic dust.
Deep within Hayti’s mountains lies iridium, the remains of the asteroid that reshaped the planet 66 million years ago. This is the Chicxulub portal you encounter in Episode 1, Act 1, Part 2.
While the world is fed a story of “poverty,” empire quietly hauls away our mountains of iridium. Crisis becomes camouflage. Extraction hides behind charity.
In TOYA, the land is sentient, a witness. The Chicxulub crater is not just a hole in the earth beneath the ocean. Toya’s world transforms it to a spiritual gateway where the trauma of the Middle Passage meets the ancient memory of the stars.
The Work
We did more than survive.
We held a Mountain World that the colonizer could never map and can never own.
This is the story of the Agoji warrior who raised an Empire.
It is a map back to ourselves.
This installment features Toya’s arrival at Okap, Hayti from the Middle Passage. The ancient rupture made by the asteroid opens and thousands rise from their watery graves.
The video excerpt combines scenes from Part 1 and Part 2.
TOYA is the erased story of the Agoji warrior who raised Hayti’s founding father and helped free a people.
Join the journey.
Reclaim the memory.
